Each year, high school students visit the UC Davis Center for Health and Technology to learn about the operating room, point of care ultrasound, and Basic Life Support. Our team of anesthesiologists and residents have created a unique curriculum, which includes lectures and interactive experiences. During the sessions, students place monitors on each other, perform live scanning with ultrasound machines, and practice Basic Life Support on mannequins. This is an exciting opportunity for the high school students to gain early exposure to medicine, specifically the field of Anesthesiology.
