Strength and compassion; these are emotions experienced on a recent photographic humanitarian project for The Omega Task, focusing on the communities of coffee field workers and their children in Costa Rica. Based in La Argentina, the Omega Task supports a mission house in a low-income neighborhood surrounded by coffee and sugar cane fields. With the goal of breaking the cycle of generational poverty, volunteers lead Kids Clubs, Youth Programs, and sewing classes throughout the week. The Omega Task volunteers also visit outlying communities providing prenatal counseling and education, along with continuing outreach support to new mothers and families.”—Pam Keach
