In 2020, De’Jaye was sent to UC Davis from our local hospital after collapsing at daycare. Our local doctor had no idea what was wrong with our very sleepy 7-year-old. After seven days at UC Davis, De’Jaye was given a diagnosis of narcolepsy with cataplexy.
Being transferred to UC Davis was a blessing. The whole situation was scary and confusing. UC Davis made sure we were informed each step of the process.
Dr. Nandalike has been amazing from the beginning. She has advocated for my daughter to have the medications needed, educated us as a family, and has been diligent and professional in caring for De’Jaye. We thank her for being down to earth and bringing so much light to our dark situation.
