Ribbon cutting marks new expansion for C Street Clinic

New services and facilities will provide enhanced patient care starting on May 15

(SACRAMENTO)

Today marked a milestone for UC Davis Health as the ribbon was cut for the expansion of the C Street Clinic in East Sacramento.

Located at 3301 C Street, it will include three main functions: infusions in a spa-like setting, new psychiatric therapeutics for treatment-resistant depression and pharmacy services.

“The opening of our expanded C Street Clinic represents a major step forward in our commitment to accessible, patient-centered care,” said Mike Condrin, interim CEO and COO of UC Davis Health who spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony. “This new 15,000-square-foot facility brings medical and behavioral health services under one roof, offering innovative treatments including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and coordinated infusion care for complex infections. It’s more than a new space — it is a reflection of our mission to deliver exceptional care that transforms lives and strengthens our community.”

Also speaking at today’s event was Helen Kales, Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stuart Cohen, medical director of acute infection management and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Bjorn Nunan, Project Manager, Real Estate Management & Development.

Here's more on the new services open for patients beginning on May 15:

  • C Street Infusion Center: Infusion services for various conditions that are unrelated to cancer are moving from UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center to C Street. The new location will feature a spa-like atmosphere with calming colors and a thoughtful design that promotes healing and protects privacy. There will be two private rooms and 12 semi-private infusion bays. The life-saving services in the infusion center keep patients out of the emergency department and hospital.
  • Advanced Psychiatric Therapeutics (APT): One in three people with depression do not respond well enough to anti-depressant medications or psychotherapy. The state-of-the-art C Street location of the APT clinic offers leading-edge therapeutic options for patients with treatment-resistant depression. Therapies include transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and esketamine nasal spray. The APT clinic plans to expand its evidence-based depression treatments to include accelerated TMS, which delivers more TMS sessions in a shorter period, and IV ketamine infusions.
  • Compounding Pharmacy: By expanding at the new C Street location, the Department of Pharmacy Services will support infusions and APT. For patients, on-site pharmacy support means streamlined care coordination and faster access to medicines.

Additionally, the C Street location is now home to the Breast Cancer Survivorship Clinic. Opened in March, the clinic addresses mental wellness, physical functioning, fertility, nutrition and other issues for breast cancer survivors. It is open to all breast cancer survivors.

The expansion joins existing services at C Street including Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Spine Center, Foot and Ankle, Hematology and Sports Medicine.
