Michael Condrin, M.B.A., is the Chief Operating Officer, Ambulatory Care (COO-AC) for UC Davis Health.
Condrin is responsible for all of UC Davis Health's outpatient care, including 70 clinics at 25 locations with 1,000,000 physician visits annually. Condrin has over 17 years of experience working for UC Davis Health, most recently serving as Executive Director of the outpatient clinics since 2019. Under Condrin's leadership and working closely with the UC Davis Medical Group, UC Davis Health's ranking in the Vizient Ambulatory Quality and Accountability survey has improved from 25th to 3rd nationally.
Previously Condrin directed the UC Davis Health Network of off-campus clinics, the Cancer Care Network, clinical affiliations at partner hospitals and the creation of a new Transitions of Care department. As Director of Clinical Operations from 2013 – 2018, he led a division of 1,750 staff and directed operations for 60 outpatient on-campus and off-campus clinics. Prior to this, Condrin held the positions of Assistant Dean of Administration for the UC Davis School of Medicine and Chief Administrative Officer in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery.
The role reports to David Lubarsky, Vice Chancellor, Human Health Sciences and Chief Executive Officer of UC Davis Health, and is responsible for providing clinical leadership to a rapidly growing ambulatory clinical enterprise that is part of a progressive integrated health system. The COO-AC provides strategic leadership to ensure seamless, integrated care with the intent of executing the quadruple aim of high-quality care, high patient satisfaction, high caregiver morale, and low cost in ambulatory clinical operations of the physician group.
Condrin received a bachelor's degree in physiological sciences from UCLA, a master's of science in physical therapy from Boston University, and a master's in business administration from UC Davis.
