Real Estate Development and Property Management develops and oversees UC Davis Health’s leased portfolio by providing tenant representation services in matters pertaining to large-scale and minor construction (tenant-improvements) as well as facilities, property, and site management. UC Davis Health Real Estate Development and Management (REDM) is the principal facilitator for all real estate initiatives at UC Davis Health and is the authorized department (in close coordination with UC Davis Health Facilities Planning as well as UC Davis Real Estate Services) to assist with the development, management and administration of all real property issues for UC Davis Health. Other areas of oversight REDM has as it relates to the UC Davis Health portfolio only, include acquisitions and dispositions.
UC Davis Health’s offsite portfolio includes, outpatient clinics, research clinics, office space, procedure space, as well as warehousing and lab space located primarily in the Sacramento region and extending to the nearby counties of Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter, and San Joaquin. The existing UC Davis Health leased portfolio consists of approximately 1.7 million rentable square feet within 92 active lease agreements.
UC Davis Health’s offsite portfolio is expected to expand by adding an estimated 1.5 million square feet of leased and owned space by 2030. It is anticipated that UC Davis Health will start to expand by establishing presence in Napa, Butte, and Siskiyou counties. New facilities will include:
These developments will come via a combination of land acquisitions for owned-builds, leased tenant improvements, and public private partnerships.
