UC is providing a series of webinars to help small firms learn how to qualify, bid, and work successfully at UC campuses. Basic requirements are listed below:

Insurance and Bonding Requirements:

  • Bid Bond for projects over $640,000 
  • Payment Bond for projects over $25,000 
  • Performance Bond for projects over $50,000 
  • General Liability, Auto, Workers Comp for all projects
  • Professional Liability for most consultants 
  • Pollution Liability for projects involving hazardous materials 

Prevailing Wages: 

Contractors and subcontractors of all tiers must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and pay prevailing wages in order to work at construction projects for UC Davis Health.
