Gifts and Flowers

UC Davis Medical Center

Gift Shop Closure

The current location of the UC Davis Medical Center gift shop has closed.  The space is being renovated to accommodate patient services from areas of the hospital that are being affected by ongoing construction to meet state seismic requirements.

Efforts are underway to identify potential location options for a future gift shop and we look forward to providing these services again in the near future! In the meantime, please see the suggestions on this page for gift shop alternatives.

Please note: Hospital regulations restrict deliveries to some departments. Flowers and plants cannot be delivered to any intensive care units including the neonatal intensive care unit/NICU and burn intensive care unit.  Deliveries are also not accepted in the oncology and transplant units.

  • Vending machines with frequently requested personal care and convenience items are located in the southeast corner of the Pavilion Café seating area.
  • Flowers can be purchased from a local Sacramento or online florist
Include the patient’s first and last name, the hospital room number and the contact phone number for the patient

The power – and effect – of giving to someone else is well-documented and a gift can make a patient, co-worker, family member or friend feel nurtured, appreciated and understood. For those on the receiving end, getting a gift can relieve stress and provide respite from challenging or difficult circumstances. When you give a gift, it’s more than the item you purchased, it’s showing someone compassion, kindness and care.
