PURPOSE
To inform medical student applicants of all admissions criteria, requirements, and general information about the UC Davis School of Medicine (the School).

POLICY
The School’s Admissions Office publishes a handbook for medical student applicants of all admissions criteria, requirements, and general information about the School.
PROCEDURE
- The Office of Admissions annually reviews the medical school’s Applicant Handbook. The handbook informs readers of all advertising and recruitment materials to ensure transparency and accuracy. (It is available online on the Admissions homepage.)
- The Office of Admissions staff coordinates with stakeholders, including the Associate Dean for Admissions, the Admissions Committee Chair, the Community Health Scholars Director and staff, and Office of Medical Education leadership to review current materials, request updates, and ensure the materials are accurate and timely.
- The Admissions Committee reviews any recommended changes and renders the final decision on updates.
