The direction and content of the Affiliated Sutter Physics Residency Program is developed and administered by the program director and co-director, assisted by the Sutter sub-committee. Sutter sub-committee is composed of the program co-director, physics director, Sutter UWLX dosimetry program director, Technical Management Officer, Radiation Therapy Managers, one radiation oncologist and one Sutter clinical physicist (rotating yearly).

In collaboration with the program director, the co-director is responsible for Sutter program administration. The co-director follows guidelines established by the Physics Residency Committee and UC Davis Medical Center in administering the program.

  3. Hospital appointments
  4. Scheduling of classrooms for faculty lectures
  5. Scheduling of Physics Residency Committee meetings
  6. Scheduling of faculty staff meetings
  7. Preparation of agenda and minutes of Physics Residency Committee and faculty staff meetings.
  8. Preparation for student orientation
  9. Administrative support for residents
  10. Program correspondence
  11. Preparation of clinical rotation schedule
  12. Preparation of didactic lecture schedule
  13. Scheduling Physics Resident seminars
  14. Scheduling Oral exams
  15. Initiation of Physics Residency Program review
  16. Fellowship grant application
  17. CAMPEP application/re-accreditation

The Physics Residency Committee is responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Physics resident recruitment
  2. Admission recommendations
  3. Monitor physics resident's progress
  4. Training curriculum
  5. Orientation program
  6. Scheduling Committee meetings
  7. Scheduling Oral exams
  8. Scheduling internal and external program review
