Stem Cell Core
The Stem Cell Core offers services in various types of human stem cells including pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), hematopoietic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells. Our goal is to support the stem cell research efforts of both academic and industrial researchers.
- Creation of patient specific iPSC lines. We use state-of-the-art technology and expertise to create iPSC lines from various tissue sources such as patient-derived skin fibroblasts.
- Differentiation of human iPSCs into specific cell types for disease modeling and therapeutic development. We differentiate human iPSCs into neural progenitors, hepatocytes, endothelial cells, and other vascular cell types. We also generate organoids from iPSCs.
- Isolation and growth of adult stem cells including mesenchymal stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells.
- Modification of stem cells with desired genes. We introduce desired genes into stem cells using either transfection or transduction.
