Eric Kurzrock
Dr. Kurzrock is actively involved in clinical and basic science investigations. His laboratory has been focused on studying urothelial cell biology, urothelial differentiation, adult and human embryonic stem cells and tissue engineering. The Pediatric Urology Laboratory was the first to identify urothelial adult stem cells, identify urothelial stem-like cells in culture and define the fate of transplanted bladder tissue. The laboratory is located in the state-of-the-art UC Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures. Dr. Kurzrock has been supported by grants from the Department of Defense (DOD), National Institutes of Health, California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Shriners Hospital for Children.
