Fiesta Spiced Chicken Breast

Grilled chicken with spices on a cutting board

Serves 4

Ingredients

1lb chicken breast (or any other protein)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp Spanish paprika
2 1/2 tsp ground cumin
3/4 tsp oregano
1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
4 3/4 tsp mild chili powder
Salt to taste
2tbls oil

Preparation

  1. Mix chicken with the spices and add salt to your preference. Marinate for at least 1 hour, overnight preferred.
  2. Add oil in sauté pan and heat to medium heat. Carefully add chicken to pan and let the chicken sear for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Once chicken begins to brown, flip chicken and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Check internal temperature of chicken is at a minimum of 165 degrees before enjoying.
