The School of Medicine Office of Research Evaluation unit includes a highly skilled team with diverse research and project management skills. Evaluation team members have expertise in quantitative approaches, including survey research and data analysis. The team also includes experts in qualitative methods who use, interviews, focus groups, and data abstraction from program records.
Stuart Henderson, Ph.D., Director of Evaluation, received his doctorate in Sociology from University of California, Davis. He has over 15 years of experience in research and evaluation. Working on a range of health and education programs, he provides expertise in evaluation design and implementation, qualitative and mixed methods research, and visual reporting. Amy M. Carrillo, Ph.D., Evaluation Specialist, provides expertise on several evaluation projects, including support to the evaluation of CTSC training programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Services Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In addition to the evaluation skills she is bringing to our unit, she has extensive knowledge in community psychology, applied social psychology, research education, and qualitative/quantitative methods.
