Clinical/Research Interests

Ian Koebner, Ph.D., M.Sc., M.A.O.M., L.Ac. is the Director of Integrative Pain Management and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pain Medicine at UC Davis School of Medicine. His research and policy interests include pain management education and the effectiveness and economic evaluation of integrative medicine. In particular, Dr. Koebner is investigating the development of behavioral interventions to address the social isolation among individuals with chronic pain. He is a clinical acupuncturist and board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is licensed to practice in California and Massachusetts.
