Philosophy of Care

I believe that physical activity is an essential component of physical and mental well-being. My goal is to help each patient achieve their personal functional goals and return to the activities that bring them joy. I enjoy creating multimodal treatment plans and educating my patients on all aspects of their diagnosis and treatment to give them the tools needed to decrease pain, improve strength, and restore normal biomechanics to optimize recovery and function.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Hassid is a physical medicine and rehabilitation sports medicine physician who specializes in non-surgical treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and nerve injuries. He provides comprehensive care for recreational and elite athletes and patients of all physical activity levels to help improve their function and performance in both sports and daily life. Dr. Hassid creates individualized treatment plans for each patient, which may include targeted physical therapy/rehabilitation protocols, lifestyle modifications, bracing, and injections. He is also skilled in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections, including steroid, platelet rich plasma (PRP), hyaluronic acid, and dextrose (prolotherapy) injections. Dr. Hassid is currently assistant team physician for the UC Davis Division I collegiate athletics teams and has previous experience providing medical coverage for the California International Marathon, New York City Marathon, St. John’s University Athletics, and New York Rugby Club Women’s Rugby Team.
