Philosophy of Care
Dr. Ingwerson joined UC Davis and Shriners Hospitals for Children to be a part of the stellar multi-disciplinary, integrated treatment team for athletes of all ages and abilities. She has always had a passion for exercise and sport as an athlete herself as well as with her professional pursuits.
Dr. Ingwerson obtained her B.S. in Exercise Science prior to medical school and then completed her residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - a field in which physicians focus on getting patients of all abilities back to their desired level of function. She then completed a Sport Medicine fellowship to focus purely on her passion for treating athletes. Dr. Ingwerson’s background has ranged from caring for athletes in elementary to high school and college ages in addition to athletes at ski resort clinics and professional athletes as well as multi-day endurance athletes in South America.
Dr. Ingwerson enjoys seeing athletes of all ages, abilities and sport disciplines at UC Davis and Shriners Hospitals for Children. She has additional focus on the areas of ultrasound and injection procedures.
Every athlete is welcome at UC Davis Sports Medicine. We look forward to helping you get back in the game!
