Philosophy of Care

Dr. Mullins employs the philosophy that staying active is truly life's best prescription. He is a strong proponent for the use of exercise as a preventative tool for developing comorbid disease, and re-training the body's biomechanics to aid in the natural healing process of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Mullins endorses a range of non-invasive treatment measures, including physical therapy, yoga, aquatic therapy, acupuncture, meditation, pilates, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. In addition, when necessary, he may also offer in-clinic injections through the use of state-of-the-art ultrasound for the guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Dr. Mullins works closely with his Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgery colleagues, and will refer patients on a case-by-case basis for indicated operative injuries.
