National Living Donor Assistance Center
Nationwide system that provides reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses, lost wages, and dependent care expenses for people being evaluated for and/or undergoing living organ donation.

National database of transplantation statistics founded to support ongoing evaluation of the scientific and clinical status of solid organ transplantation.

Sierra Donor Services
The nonprofit, federally designated transplant donor network serving nearly four million people in the Northern California and Nevada.

The Donor-Seeker® Program
A 4-part video program in English or Spanish (in less than 15-minutes) to help waitlisted patients learn how to share their story and build a team to help them find a living kidney donor. Program includes a resource section with links, handouts—and a course completion certificate.  Program can be accessed here—or on a mobile device from the "Donor Seeker" app. 

A website platform dedicated to helping kidney patients become more empowered transplant advocates. In this space, patients can learn how to proactively optimize their choices and use their voices to secure (and successfully maintain) a live-donor kidney transplant — before they require dialysis.  

United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
The private, nonprofit organization that manages the nation's organ transplant system under contract with the federal government.

Support and Activity Groups

Support and activity groups can provide comfort, present information, teach coping skills, help reduce anxiety, and provide a place for people to share common concerns and emotional support.

Bay Area Association of Kidney Patients (BAAKP)
Patient-run support group includes support-group meetings in the East Bay and Peninsula, as well as online newsletters and forums.
