Positions Available

The anesthesiology training program at UC Davis Medical Center is designed to train residents as perioperative physicians, responsible for the total care of patients scheduled for surgical procedures. This is accomplished by combining a well thought out clinical training program with the latest in educational teaching methodology.  We have 14 residents per year in our program.  At present we have 43 residents.  Our program also offers six pain medicine, two pediatric anesthesiology and one adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship positions. 

Qualifications

 We strive to keep up the tradition of high standards of our program by looking for applicants who display the following attributes and/or qualifications:

  • Solid academic achievement as demonstrated by USMLE performance
  • Strong clinical and professional performance as demonstrated by letters of recommendation and the medical school dean's letter
  • Adequate interpersonal/communication skills as demonstrated by the interview process
    Applicants who have interesting and diverse backgrounds, including research experience, are encouraged to apply.
