My primary goal is always to render specialized anesthesia care in a respectful, compassionate, noble way. I believe in treating my patients as valued individuals with empathy and consideration. Effective communication with patients and families alike is of utmost importance in order to be able to work together to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Chandler is a general anesthesiologist with a particular interest and experience in obstetric anesthesia. She provides anesthesia services to pregnant patients undergoing complex obstetric procedures - her focus being primarily on high risk pregnancies. Dr. Chandler strongly believes in promoting an evidence-based medicine to deliver the highest possible quality care to all her patients.
Dr. Chandler’s research is primarily focused on improving the outcomes of the specific problems related to the peripartum period, as well as promotion of the best practices in obstetric anesthesia care. She is committed to fostering the medical education of both medical students and residents alike. Dr. Chandler’s teaching philosophy is based on student-focused learning emphasizing understanding and skills transfer in the classroom; at the patient’s bedside; or via simulation scenarios in UC Davis’ state-of-the-art Center for Virtual Care.
