Muslim Faculty Staff Association

An image of two branches intersecting and leaves of different colors on each to show the diversity of beliefs.

Open to all employees, the Muslim Faculty and Staff Association (MFSA) fosters an inclusive and supportive space for UC Davis Health employees committed to cultural understanding, professional growth, and community engagement. Open to all faculty and staff, MFSA promotes connection through shared learning, campus partnerships, and programs that elevate understanding of diverse religious and cultural experiences. The group is open to all UC Davis Health employees who support these goals.

Engage

MFSA fosters dialogue and collaboration across UC Davis Health to deepen understanding of the Muslim employee experience. We create opportunities to build connections and reduce Islamophobia through professional development and campus-wide learning programs.

Equip

MFSA equips faculty and staff with tools to navigate the diversity of the Muslim community. By enhancing cultural competency and addressing health disparities, we support the development of a truly inclusive and informed workplace.

Empower

We empower Muslim employees by providing networks, resources, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. MFSA champions equity, inclusion, and the celebration of the full spectrum of Muslim identity.

Educate

Through educational initiatives, MFSA dispels misconceptions and promotes understanding of Islam and Islamic culture. We cultivate an inclusive environment where diversity is valued and celebrated.

Elevate

MFSA aligns with UC Davis Health’s mission to elevate awareness and recognition of Muslim faculty and staff contributions. We champion progress and the advancement of HEDI goals through collaboration and advocacy.
