PK/PD Bioanalytical Core Facility
Understanding drug metabolism (DM), pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) is essential for the development of new drugs and practice of precision medicine. It requires accurate, precise, and reliable quantification of drugs/metabolites in complex biological matrix, as well as proper data analysis and computational PK-PD modeling. The PK/PD Bioanalytical Core Facility at UC Davis School of Medicine is equipped with a state-of-the-art LC-MS/MS system and other necessary devices to provide bioanalytical services and PK-PD modeling in support of the clinical pharmacology studies as well as drug discovery and development programs.

Dr. Aiming Yu, Director, is a world-renowned investigator in the fields of DM/PK/PD. His research interests include DM/PK/PD, anticancer pharmacology and experimental therapeutics, and RNA technology and therapies.

Dr. Su Guan received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 2007. Dr. Guan specializes in conducing DM/PK/PD studies and developing new bioanalytical methods, especially LC-MS/MS based accurate assays. In addition, Dr. Guan has extensive experience in anticancer research and drug development.
