Ingredients
- 4 pieces of salmon (4 oz. each)
 - 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
 - 2 tsp. Mediterranean spice (see recipe below)
 - 2 tsp. canola or olive oil
 
Preparation
- Season salmon with Mediterranean spice and salt to taste.
 - Heat up oil on a skillet at medium-high heat.
 - With removed skin side up, sear on one side until golden brown. This may take a couple of minutes.
 - Once a nice sear has formed, flip salmon with a spatula one time.
 - Remove from heat when the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

Mediterranean Spice Ingredients
- 1/3 tsp. ground ginger
 - 1/3 tsp. Kosher salt
 - 1/3 tsp. ground cumin
 - 1/3 tsp. ground turmeric
 - 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
 - 1/3 tsp. black pepper
 - 1/8 tsp. ground coriander
 - 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
 - 1/8 tsp. ground all spice
 - 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
 - 1/8 tsp. 5 spice seasoning
 
Mix all the spices together in a mixing bowl. Store in a tightly sealed, non-porous container away from direct sunlight and heat.
