Philosophy of Care

My care philosophy is that healthcare should be a partnership between children/families and physicians. Medical care is not "one size fits all" and treatments that are a good choice for one person may not work as well for someone else. Families need to understand the benefits and risks of different clinical care options and make informed choices.  It is the job of the physician to help families navigate these decisions by providing information in a clear and comprehensive way and serving as a resource to talk through these decisions.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Glaser is a Pediatric Endocrinologist who cares for children with diabetes, thyroid disorders, disorders of growth and puberty, and other hormonal disorders. She has a particular research interest in type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Glaser holds the Dean’s Endowed Professorship for Childhood Diabetes Research. She is recognized as an international expert in pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), an important complication of diabetes in children. She has led many of the key multi-center studies that guide DKA management. She has also been involved in the development of several national and international guidelines for DKA management in children that guide current practice worldwide.
