My goal is to provide the best care possible for infants, children, and young adults with disorders of the brain and spine, and to provide support and counsel to their families. I strive to be thorough, answer all questions, and provide options, while incorporating the latest advances from around the world to provide the highest quality neurosurgical care. I work with a team of colleagues in pediatrics and am committed to leveraging their collective expertise to guide you and your loved ones in making the right treatment plan.
Dr. Sadegh is a fellowship-trained pediatric neurosurgeon who treats patients with brain and spinal cord tumors, hydrocephalus, spinal dysraphism, vascular anomalies, craniofacial disorders, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury. He has expertise in stereotactic brain navigation and in minimally invasive endoscopic surgery for hydrocephalus and craniosynostosis.
Dr. Sadegh’s research laboratory (at the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine) aims to develop new treatment options for hydrocephalus and to advance our knowledge of the composition of brain fluids, which has implications in various conditions such as brain tumors and epilepsy. In his prior research at Harvard and MIT, Dr. Sadegh studied early brain development at a cellular level and then the role of the choroid plexus in animal models of hydrocephalus; he hopes to expand on this initial work with translational research at UC Davis, in collaboration with colleagues around the country.
