Investigator Resources

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

Although the IRB is located in the same office suite as the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC), the IRB has a unique mission and is distinctly separate from the CTSC. The CTSC provides services and support to investigators in the conduct of their clinical and translational research. The IRB, under the UC Davis Office of Research, safeguards the rights and welfare of all human research subjects and has the authority to approve, require modifications in, or disapprove all research activities that fall within their jurisdiction. The IRB Investigator Manual (PDF) is a comprehensive guide, answering many questions that may arise when preparing an IRB application.
