Philosophy of Care
I strive to provide whole person care to my patients here at UC Davis. I want to gain their trust, answer their questions, allay their fears, while safely guiding them through the process of surgery and recovery.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Tautz is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist providing care to patients over a broad spectrum of surgical procedures. He has special clinical interest and expertise in Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia, Obstetrical Anethesia and Analgesia, Outpatient and Orthopedic Surgery.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Tautz serves as a Board examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology, and is an active consultant on the Malignant Hyperthermia Hotline for the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the US.
