Lab researcher Donors to the Department of Radiation Oncology make a philanthropic investment in improving health and transforming health care. You may opt to support students, faculty, research, a new graduate studies center or the Department of Radiation Oncology overall. Your gift will help the Department of Radiation Oncology improve health care and promote health at home, in our communities and around the world. Donors who wish to be publicly acknowledged will be recognized in the following ways:

Honor Rolls

Donors who make a contribution of $100 or more to the Department of Radiation Oncology will be acknowledged on the UC Davis Health Honor Roll of Donors in the UC Davis Health Annual Report.

Heritage Circle

Supporters who name the Department of Radiation Oncology in their estate plans or provide a legacy gift are invited to join the UC Davis Health Heritage Circle and are honored at an annual luncheon.

Visionaries

Established in 2009, the Visionaries program recognizes donors who have cumulative giving of $1,000,000 or more to UC Davis Health. Each fall, the Vice Chancellor and Dean hosts a Visionaries event to recognize and thank the donors. Visionaries also receive a quarterly letter from the Vice Chancellor and Dean with updates relevant to the areas they support. Visionaries are to be recognized on a donor wall in the Education Building on UC Davis’ Sacramento campus. The wall will be updated annually in the spring.

Chancellor's Laureates

The Chancellor’s Laureates is an honorary giving society created to recognize UC Davis’ most committed donors — those who have given a total of $1 million or more to the university. The Chancellor’s Laureates include foundations, corporations, and other organizations as members. A roster of members will be kept by University Relations and updated annually. Recognition of members and their generosity may also occur in University publications such as Dateline and UC Davis Magazine as well as in publications by individual colleges, schools and other units. A luncheon is held each spring to honor members.

Establishing endowed chairs and professorships are acts of great generosity and vision. Donors who create an endowment do so because they understand the importance of supporting the institution not only during their own lifetime, but for generations to come. These visionary individuals, families, and organizations become an extraordinary resource for UC Davis and our talented faculty.

The minimum investment to establish an endowed fund is $25,000. Endowed professorships can be created for $1M, endowed chairs $1.5M.
