- Use the Self-Service Password Management (SSPM) Web Portal to reset personal Active Directory (AD) passwords for:
- Forgotten passwords
- Unlocking an account
- Retrieval of a username
- Use a 15+ character passphrase that is easy to remember but hard for others to guess. Do not:
- Include any part of the username
- Reuse a former password
- Use a known compromised password
- Do not reuse your UC Davis Health password for any other account.
- If you believe your password may not be secure, reset it immediately (in all locations where it is used)
- The current version of the Self-Service Password Management Web Portal is for employee use only. Non-Employees should continue to use the windows “ctrl-alt-delete” method to reset their password.
- If connected to the network, access the Self Service Password Management Webpage for more information.
- Use LastPass for secure storage and easy access to all personal passwords for work and home (free to anyone with a UC Davis account). If connected to the network, access the IT LastPass Webpage for more information.
