Clinical Interests

Dr. Menendez is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow conditions. His clinical practice focuses on advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder procedures, with particular expertise in robotic-assisted shoulder replacements, revision arthroplasty, massive rotator cuff tears, and AC joint instability. He was the first surgeon to perform robotic-assisted shoulder replacements in the greater Sacramento area and has emerged as a national leader in this space through both his clinical experience and academic research.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Menendez is a widely published shoulder and elbow specialist in Sacramento, with over 250 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and is also a peer-reviewer for numerous high-impact orthopedic journals. Dr. Menendez routinely presents his research at national and international meetings. He has a particular interest in outcomes-based research, clinical effectiveness, and healthcare disparities.
