Each year, during the holiday season, UC Davis Health Staff Assembly coordinates the UC Davis Health sponsorship with the County of Sacramento to provide holiday gifts for over 200 foster children, young adults aging out of the foster care system, disabled adults and senior citizens in need. UC Davis Health employees are invited to select names of children, teens, young adults, and seniors, along with their holiday wish lists, and then shop for gifts early in the holiday season. Staff Assembly volunteers collect the gifts and make sure each one is received by the County early in December.
We hope you will consider joining Staff Assembly in this year’s effort. It’s as easy as requesting a name or names, shopping for the items for the individual(s) and dropping them off at the North Addition or HAS Building!
Year after year, we continue to hear what a difference these gifts make in the lives of the recipients. For some, these are the only gifts they receive during the holidays. We are so proud of our UC Davis Health colleagues and the difference we can make in the lives of these members of our community when we come together for amazing opportunities like this.
To request name(s) to sponsor, or for questions about the program, please contact @Yesenia J Rocha and @Cecilia White and they will provide you with your requested number of names. Participants who reach out to participate will receive complete instructions related to packaging, drop off, etc.
