We provide investigators and research groups with data, images, biospecimens, and brain tissue from deeply characterized participants who have been followed longitudinally.
All requests (e.g., letters of support, data, imaging or biospecimen resources) should be submitted 12 weeks in advance of the investigator's deadline to allow adequate time for review by the ADRC Executive Committee.
Submit requests for data directly to our center as well as program wide data through the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC). NACC serves as a repository for data collected at approximately 33 Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) throughout the U.S. NACC maintains a cumulative database including clinical evaluations, neuropathology data when available, and MRI imaging, which is freely available to the research community. Information about the available data can be found on the NACC website under the investigator-researcher link.
We collect Center-specific data including our research neuropsychological battery (Spanish and English Neuropsychological Scales; SENAS), Everyday Cognition (ECog), life course, personality, and social data, and metrics derived from MRI and PET may be requested for research. Available biospecimens include DNA, plasma, serum, and RNA. Available images include 3D T1, DTI, and amyloid PET.
The Center has a strong biostatistical component through its collaboration with investigators from the UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences. Data Management and Statistics Core Leader Danielle Harvey (djharvey@ucdavis.edu) is available to consult for data requests.
Investigators interested in basic research may contact the Biomarker Core Leader, Lee-Way Jin (lwjin@ucdavis.edu), for assistance in evaluating the feasibility of the study protocol. Investigators interested in neuropathology contact the Neuropathology Core Leader, Brittany Dugger (bndugger@ucdavis.edu), for questions regarding available specimens or neuropathology protocols.
Investigators interested in clinical research may contact Martha Forloines (mrforloines@ucdavis.edu) for assistance in evaluating the feasibility of the study protocol and information concerning IRB applications.
