Dr. Bishop strives to provide the highest standard of anesthetic care from the time of admission to discharge and beyond. His goal is to provide a safe, balanced, and comprehensive anesthetic using the latest evidence-based techniques. At all times you should feel comfortable, relaxed and be reassured that you will be in the safest of hands.
Dr. Bishop's clinical interests include regional anesthesia and acute pain, anesthesia for arthroplasty, hepatic surgery, ambulatory anesthesia for same-day procedures, pre-hospital trauma and retrieval medicine.
Dr. Bishop has specific interests in regional anesthesia, specifically the use of nerve blocks to reduce opioid use and assist with enhanced recovery after surgery. He is also involved in simulation training and has a keen interest in human factors and crisis resource management.
