Cancer center earns high ranking from Becker’s Hospital Review

UC Davis Health is listed by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the nation’s top “100 hospitals and health systems with great oncology programs”.

UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center serving patients in the Central Valley and inland California, a region of over 6 million ethnically diverse people. Specialists at the cancer center provide compassionate care for more than 100,000 adults and children every year, including access to more than 200 active clinical trials.

The cancer center’s innovative research program engages more than 240 scientists at UC Davis Health who work collaboratively to advance the discovery of new tools to diagnose and treat cancer.

The cancer center also leverages the strengths of an integrated academic medical system, including UC Davis School of Medicine, UC Davis Medical Center, and UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Among many other recent developments, the cancer center is gaining two floors of acute oncology care from the $7 billion expansion of the UC Davis Medical Center.

According to Becker’s, the award-winning oncology programs have earned national recognition for their work in cancer care, especially for programs that offer leading-edge clinical trials and pioneer research discoveries that expand access to care and enhance patient outcomes.
