Our pediatric infectious diseases team offers the only specialty clinic in Sacramento County with expertise in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) for infants, children and adolescents.
Our pediatric infectious disease specialists provide diagnostic, therapeutic and support services for pediatric patients with or at risk for HIV infection and AIDS. The clinic also helps transition young adult patients to the adult clinic for their ongoing care needs.
Our clinic functions as an infectious disease facility for California Children’s Services, a state-run program providing care for children with certain diseases and health problems, including children with HIV infection or already diagnosed with AIDS.
California Children’s Services (CCS) is a state program for children with certain diseases or health problems. Through this program, children up to 21 years old can get the health care and services they need. CCS will connect you with doctors and trained health care people who know how to care for your child with special health care needs.
The multidisciplinary team of infectious disease specialists offer a complete spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services for infectious diseases in infants, children and adolescents.
Our specialists provide patient care at UC Davis Children’s Hospital as well as at the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic.
