Philosophy of Care
Preventive care is important to me and I work with patients to make sure they have their recommended health screenings completed and try to focus on how we can partner to improve their health care. I strive to provide culturally appropriate health care and an inclusive, welcoming environment for patients from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Karalakulasingam is a board-certified Internist and Pediatrician offering primary care to patients of all ages. Her clinical interests are in preventive care and partnering with patients to improve their health care. She also cares for children with chronic and complex medical issues, and takes care of them as the grow into adulthood.
Research/Academic Interests
In her non-clinical time, Dr. Karalakulasingam does work in Quality Improvement and Population Health developing mechanisms to better the health of the entire UC Davis community.
