Philosophy of Care

I believe that healthcare is a basic human right. All patients should be given the same outstanding care regardless of their background, race, gender, immigration status, income, or health insurance. It takes special attention to provide care for children. I treat all of my patients the way I would want another healthcare provider to treat my own children. It is important to listen to the concerns that parents have about their children and to make informed decisions together. I strive to give the best possible care and compassion to each of my patients. I love watching children grow as I am caring for them and feel privileged to be a part of their lives.

Clinical Interests

Karen Cleary is a Nurse Practitioner in the peditric neurology department. She provides care for children with various neurologic conditions such as epilepsy, headaches, and developmental delays. She has special clinical interest in new-onset seizures, developmental delays, and leukodystrophies.
