José Antonio López is Project Coordinator for the CEAL and PANDEMIC projects within the University of California at Davis’ Center for Reducing Health Disparities (CRHD). He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from San Jose State University in 2014.

Jose is a first-generation college graduate that was born in the small town of Yuba City, CA to Mexican parents from Ahualulco de Mercado, Jalisco. Jose has always been passionate about using his strengths and blessings to help others in any way he can. Jose prides himself solely in the number of people he has been able to help during the course of his life, both professionally and in his personal life, as he considers this to be the only true measure of success.

Prior to joining the CRHD team in July of 2022, Jose was the Office Director at Mil Mujeres Legal Services (Chicago), a national non-profit organization whose sole mission is to offer affordable, competent, and high-quality immigration legal representation to underserved communities. In this role, Jose was an integral part in helping hundreds of families reach their dream of holding legal status within the United States. He brings to the CRHD team a wealth of experience, care, and compassion where he hopes he can help the community enjoy better health and improve access to healthcare for everyone in need.
