Monica Grajeda Hatch
Digital Health Navigator and Administrative Coordinator, Digital Health Equity (DHE)
Monica is the Digital Health Navigator and Administrative Coordinator for the Digital Health Equity project in the Center for Reducing Health Disparities.
Monica began her career with UC Davis in 2020. Monica’s interest in public health began when she was a community health outreach supervisor for the Healthy Davis Together (HDT) project. A joint project between UC Davis and the City of Davis with the goal to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Monica grew up in a migrant camp in rural Dixon, CA until the age of 10 and later in life working in agriculture, she experienced and witnessed the daily difficulties that the Latino and farm worker communities go through with healthcare disparities. Monica has always been passionate about helping others. Especially those in the underserved, farm workers and rural communities. Being part of the CHRD team has been a blessing and knowing that she can be part of the difference to improve the access to healthcare is priceless.
