Digital Health Navigator, Digital Health Equity (DHE)

Taliyah Borromeo, currently serving as a Junior Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine for UC Davis Health, also holds the role of Digital Health Navigator for the Digital Health Equity Project at the Center for Reducing Health Disparities.

In 2023, Taliyah graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Global Disease Biology from the University of California, Davis. Following her graduation, she joined the Center for Reducing Health Disparities to continue her involvement in the community.

During her undergraduate career, Taliyah became the administrator of Imani Clinic, a non-profit student-run clinic providing free services, regardless of insurance status. Recognizing the disproportionate prevalence of high blood pressure and the associated barriers to healthcare access, Taliyah felt driven to do something about it. Taliyah and Dr. López, the medical director of Imani’s Cardiology Clinic, pioneered the development of the remote patient monitoring program for blood pressure management at Imani. This initiative strengthened her passion and commitment to improving health literacy and fostering equitable healthcare access for underserved populations.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Taliyah finds joy in traveling and trying activities outside of her comfort zone. On her bucket list is a mission to visit all of the Wonders of the World. Additionally, Taliyah sings, plays tennis, and trains in martial arts, in which she holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt.
