Biostatistics How to Get Help | UC Davis CTSC

In order to efficiently and effectively meet the statistical needs of clinical and translational investigators at UC Davis, the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) - in collaboration with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center - maintain “office hours” for statistical consultations. These office hours are an opportunity for investigators to consult with a statistician about the design, analysis or presentation of medical research studies in a friendly, informal setting.

Every Tuesday, 12 – 2 p.m. via WebEx
Statisticians: Machelle Wilson, Ph.D., and Hong Li, Ph.D.

First and third Mondays, 1 - 2 p.m. via WebEx
Statisticians: LiHong Qi, Ph.D., and Sandra Taylor, Ph.D.

Due to the popularity of these programs, investigators interested in attending an office hours event are asked to reserve a spot in advance. Limit of 1 spot per week per project for up to 2 projects.

Investigators can request more in-depth biostatistics assistance through the CTSC, and one of our statisticians will be assigned to work with you individually. Investigators needing support with proposal preparation or data analysis should request services at least 4-6 weeks in advance of the due date of the proposal or abstract/paper submittal.
