“I was working for a different multi-specialty group in the area, and became disheartened by the process of which I was managing the care of my patients, the pace, and the lack of connection with colleagues. I felt I was a far cry from where and why I went into medicine. I had come across a friend who was working at UC Davis Health, and they recommended I apply. Here I have found a haven of peers who are open, engaged, positive in spirit, curious and kind.”
“I saw working for UC Davis Health as an opportunity to work for an employer that would support positive systemic change. We are a leader in many areas and now a leader in pioneering clean, sustainable, and responsibly sourced foods for our patients, staff, and visitors. I’m proud to be a part of this institutional change within our food system. My ability to bring large scale food programming to an entity that is striving to help us, as people, heal has been very rewarding to me as a local chef."
“While I had options after residency, UC Davis Health stood distinctly apart. A trusted colleague already flourished here, and their flagship clinic was conveniently located for me. More than the location, my interview experience was a testament to the professional yet welcoming atmosphere they fostered. The sense of camaraderie and mutual respect resonated deeply, making it a clear choice for me to join.”
