My husband and I have always had UC Davis Health for our care. When we decided to start our own family, we knew choosing world-class pediatric care would mean access to the best. Both of my children, Lily and James, were delivered by amazing UC Davis OB/GYN’s and their teams. And I’m glad that we stayed with UC Davis Health because when our daughter Lily was born, we discovered she was diagnosed with branchio-oto-renal syndrome, a rare condition that results in hearing loss and kidney disease.
We experienced a lot of unknowns and worries. But even with the diagnosis, we knew that having health care partners we could trust was the utmost importance to us.
There have been many doctors that oversee Lily’s care including otolaryngologist Dr. Rodney Diaz, audiologist Dr. Audrey Bracchi, and nephrologist Dr. Lavjay Butani who we consider the best in their respective fields. They always give Lily the best treatment and care whenever she needs it.
“When we had an issue with Lily’s hearing aid tubes breaking we needed them repaired right away. Dr. Audrey Bracchi, Lily’s audiologist, knows how crucial it is for her to have them at all times, and she was able to fix them. It means so much to us to have a doctor who understands their patient’s needs.”—Asha
Even though we’ve been through a lot as a family, these doctors have been with us every step of the way, including my kids pediatrician Dr. Lena Van Der List and my primary care provider Dr. Chethana Eswarappa at the UC Davis Elk Grove clinic. Each doctor makes ours and Lily’s health care journey easy to cope with. They are all patient, kind, and make us feel like she is important to them. We are so thankful for her team of doctors who make us feel like she’s a priority.
UC Davis Health care is everything to me and my family, and we would highly recommend other families to consider choosing a plan that provides access to UC Davis Health, especially when it comes to specialty care. I know that we wouldn’t receive better care anywhere else. From physicians and specialists to medical assistants and nurses, I am so grateful for the care my family receives.
