I am focused on helping each patient achieve the best possible long-term outcome, function, and quality of life after injury. My residency and fellowship training gave me broad experience across the full spectrum of orthopaedic trauma, with an emphasis on thoughtful decision-making, technical versatility, and taking ownership of complex problems. I believe in challenging the residents, fellows, and myself to become better surgeons each day. I also believe patients deserve a surgeon who can offer comprehensive high quality care no matter the anatomic location or severity of injury they have endured.
I have the opportunity to serve as an active-duty Air Force orthopaedic trauma surgeon while being integrated into civilian academic practice. With that I have the tremendous honor of taking care of serviceman and women as well as civilians. I focus on musculoskeletal trauma which includes fractures/soft tissue injuries of the upper and lower extremities as well as the pelvis and acetabulum.
Dr. Wise's academic interests focus on upper extremity, chest wall, military, and polytrauma care.
