As an adult and pediatric orthopaedic spine surgeon, I understand the challenges facing patients with spinal disorders. I treat each patient as an individual with unique needs and use a team approach to enable timely, effective diagnoses and treatments.
I believe in educating patients as much as possible about their condition and available treatment alternatives. My staff is dedicated to providing this information and answering questions, so you can take an active part in your own care decisions.
Dr. Javidan's interest in spinal deformity surgery started in residency at University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. He gained a tremendous volume of experience in spinal deformity surgery at UC Davis Spine Fellowship. He currently practices at UC Davis and Shriners Hospital of Northern California. They treat severe spinal deformity more successfully today than ever before, but many questions remain regarding the best course of treatment. As faculty of the UC Davis Spine Center he looks forward to continued research and teaching of new orthopaedic surgeons here at UC Davis.
Dr. Javidan has a focus on Spine Surgery Education and is Director of the Spine Service Fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
