Breakfast with the Chancellor
Breakfast with the Chancellor Program is intended to offer non-faculty staff a unique opportunity to meet Chancellor Gary S. May and discuss topics of importance in an informal, relaxed setting. Those in attendance are invited to bring their ideas on how to foster collaboration, increase or build robust campus-wide programs and initiatives, improve processes, recommend potential solutions and more.
Breakfast with the Chancellor events at UC Davis Health will be held on selected dates throughout the year. Separate chat events with the Chancellor are also held in the Davis campus for staff located in Davis.
2024 dates:
Breakfasts are held from 8:30-10 a.m.

Up to 15 staff members will be chosen to participate in each Breakfast with the Chancellor event. Participants will typically receive their invitations seven business days before the event. Staff Assembly will work closely with invitees to ensure their schedule allows them to attend.

Eligibility requirements
Staff must meet the following eligibility requirements to participate:
- Applicant must have at least six months of service in a career position.
- Staff may participate in the program only once.
- Applicant must secure approval of release time from their supervisor to participate.
- Applicant must be in good standing.
- Staff classified as academic (faculty appointees) are not eligible to participate in the program.
Staff employees selected to attend the breakfast will be asked to provide the following:
- Brief bio – a mix of personal and professional is ideal
- Headshot – something professional or something taken with a phone is acceptable
- Dietary restrictions
