Clinical Interests
Dr. Manske is a board-certified, fellowship-trained hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgeon caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Manske has a particular interest in traumatic conditions in adults, including nerve injuries.
She has additional fellowship training in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery with a special interest in congenital, traumatic, and neuromuscular conditions of the upper limb in children.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Manske is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the pediatric hand and upper extremity. Throughout medical school, residency, and fellowship, she has had an interest in caring for children with congenital, traumatic, or neuromuscular conditions with the goal of improving their function, self-image, self-esteem and lives.
Following a residency in orthopedic surgery and fellowship in hand surgery, Dr. Manske elected to undergo additional fellowship training in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Michelle James at Shriners Hospital in Northern California to gain additional experience and expertise in caring for children with complex conditions of the upper extremity, including brachial plexus birth injuries (BPBI).
Upon joining the medical staff at Shriners Hospital in Northern California, Dr. Manske has become the director of the brachial plexus birth injury center, providing surgical care for infants with BPBI, coordinating the multidisciplinary needs of patients and families, and participating in research focusing on improving treatment outcomes of BPBI.
