WIMHS provides a number of important resources to support the careers of women in health sciences and promotes a flexible and inclusive environment, including the following:

  • A dedicated brochure summarizing the school’s family-friendly and career-flexibility policies for work/life balance to help faculty with caregiving, family care and other extracurricular demands
  • A blog site to share perspective and topics of interest to our faculty and students and trainees (blog.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/wimhs)
  • A Facebook site to share opportunities, national topics of interest to women in health sciences, and celebrate the successes of our women in health sciences
  • AAMC Tool Kits and other helpful resources

Capital Resource Network (CRN) extends a personalized welcome to newly recruited employees. Each new-hire referred to the Capital Resource Network receives one-on-one attention and support specific to the relocation needs of their entire family. Recommendations and customized services are outlined based on the initial-consult and the "intake" interview conducted upon referral. Capital Resource Network helps the client at their own pace over the course of approximately 20 hours of service within a six month period. 

Capital Resource Network is a fee for service program that provides dual career support, family integration and resources to new employees relocating to the region. These services aim to ease the transition for newly relocated hires and their families during their relocation.
