WIMHS 25th Anniversary Faculty Retreat
In September, WIMHS hosted a professional development faculty retreat, featuring Resa Lewiss, M.D., author of MicroSkills: Small Actions, Big Impact, as well as UC Davis faculty speakers and panelists.
WIMHS 25th Anniversary Fall Welcome
In celebration of Women in Medicine Month and 25 years of WIMHS, UC Davis faculty came together for the annual Fall Welcome, recognizing newly hired and promoted faculty.

WIMHS Coffee Talk
The WIMHS liaisons for the departments of Neurology and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine regularly host virtual “coffee talk” sessions with special guest speakers! Recent guest speakers have included School of Medicine Dean Susan Murin and School of Medicine Dean for Research Kim Barrett, as well as Chancellor Gary May, and his wife, LeShelle May.

Basic Science Symposium
In celebration of Women's History Month, the School of Medicine Basic Sciences Departments coordinate an annual symposium complete with keynote speakers, presentations, and a social event!

Women in Ortho Night
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery faculty, fellows, and residents participated in their own version of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The activity served as both a metaphor and a hands-on experience, celebrating resilience, imperfection, and the beauty of transformation.

Blooms and Belonging
The WIMHS Departmental Liaisons for Emergency Medicine coordinated a "Blooms and Belonging" event that combined creativity with connection. The group arranged fresh bouquets while engaging in thoughtful conversations about belonging, wellness, and imposter syndrome.

Book Club
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology discussed books they'd recently read while enjoying brunch at an event graciously hosted by one of their faculty members and former Departmental Liaisons.

Axing Burnout
Faculty from the Department of Otolaryngology met up for axe throwing, and a discussion on burnout led by WorkLife expert, Sandy Batchelor!

Casual Brunch
Brunch in the Department of Dermatology brought faculty together for connection and celebration. WIMHS Departmental Liaisons hosted the event to warmly welcome new faculty members and foster relationships among colleagues in a relaxed setting.
